An accurate and up-to-date
Children's Service Directory

There’s nothing more frustrating than trawling the web for the information you need, only to discover that what you’ve found is incorrect.

We’ve created a Quality Management System that enables you to update your Service Directory centrally, guaranteeing it’s free from the errors and duplications that plague many Local Authority websites.

We also provide you with a choice of templates for young people and adults, enabling you to tailor both your content and your page design to a particular audience.

How does it work?

Instead of every department working in isolation, our Quality Management System ensures that although you can allow anyone to update the site, top level administrators must approve any changes before they go live.

It also checks your site for duplicate entries, expired web or email addresses, and will flag up any out-of-date information.

The inbuilt Feed Manager can import data from a variety of sources including other Local Authorities, RSS feeds or web services, and the database can be exported to Excel or PDF for printing.

What's more, the organisations and service providers can log in and update their own baseline data.

What does it mean for the people updating and using the site?

We‘re passionate about the technology that will drive your site, but for you and your community it’s what that technology delivers that’s important.

  • Searchable by keyword, category and/or postcode including an X-mile radius function that locates organisations, services and events near to their home, as well as providing maps, routes and public transport information
  • Has in-built Common Assessment Framework (CAF) search functionality
  • A web based log in system for organisations and service providers to update their details and activities
  • Taxonomy based categorisation for user friendly navigation and category management
  • Multiple template designs for different age groups to keep your site looking fresh
  • Easy to create forms and questionnaires
  • Optional star rating and feedback system for local organisations
  • A content management system which allows assigned users to easily add, update and/or delete pages
  • Administrator approval before any updates made by external organisations go live
  • Up to the minute statistics showing how many users are visiting your site and what they’re looking at
  • Scheduled bulk-emails to some or all of the organisations listed

Why we do it better than anyone else?

It starts with a one hour, no obligation consultation, where you tell us what you want and we explain any of the technical jargon you’re unfamiliar with. We’ll also show you how our quality management system makes maintaining the quality of your website as easy as ticking a box.

We are experienced in working with children to create sites that appeal to them, and can offer many more features to make your directory more attractive to the young people in your community.

We have excellent references from two London councils, as well as plenty of experience and praise from the private sector, and take pride in our reputation for delivering the website you want, on-time and to-budget.
